1. Operator

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the facilities and services provided by The Railway Yard Sauna(“we”, “us”, “the operator”). Our address is Ballacolla Road, Abbeyleix, Co. Laois. By completing a booking you agree to these terms in full.

2. Age Policy

All guests must be 18 years of age or older. We reserve the right to request proof of age. Bookings made on behalf of persons under 18 will be cancelled and refunded.

3. Health Warning

Customers must not use the sauna, ice bath or cold plunge if they are pregnant or suffer from heart or circulatory problems, high or low blood pressure, epilepsy, diabetes, or if they are prone to dizziness or fainting spells.

4. Medical Responsibility

Customers are responsible for making sure they are medically fit to use the sauna and cold plunge. If they are unsure, have a medical condition, or are taking medication that may affect their response to heat or cold, they should seek medical advice before booking.

5. Safe Use

Customers must follow all displayed instructions and staff directions when using the sauna, showers, and cold plunge.

Customers should leave the sauna or cold plunge immediately if they feel dizzy, faint, unwell, short of breath, numb, confused, or uncomfortable.

6. Wet Surfaces & Site Safety

The site includes wet areas such as showers, changing areas, sauna entrances, and cold plunge areas. Customers must walk carefully and must not run, push, dive, or engage in rough play.

7. Staff Checks

Facilities may be monitored and checked by staff during sessions for safety and operational reasons.

8. Alcohol & Drugs

Customers must not use the sauna or cold plunge while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. We reserve the right to refuse entry or end a session where we believe it would be unsafe.

9. Behaviour

Customers must behave safely and respectfully at all times. Tampering with the stove, cold plunge equipment, showers, safety equipment, or any site infrastructure is not permitted.

10. Right to Refuse Entry

We reserve the right to refuse entry or end a session without refund if a customer breaches safety rules, ignores staff instructions, appears unwell or intoxicated, or behaves in a way that may endanger themselves, staff, or others.

11. No Medical Claims

Sauna and cold-water use may be enjoyed as part of a general wellness routine, but our facilities are not medical treatment and should not be used as a substitute for medical advice.

12. Assumption of Risk

Use of a sauna and cold plunge involves inherent physical risks. By booking and attending a session you acknowledge that you are in suitable health to use the facilities, are aware that high temperatures and sudden cold immersion place demands on the cardiovascular system, and accept full personal responsibility for any injury, illness, or adverse reaction arising from your use of the facilities. The operator accepts no liability for adverse health outcomes resulting from use of the facilities.

13. Booking & Payment

All bookings are made online via our booking page. Full payment is required at the time of booking. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store payment card details.

14. Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • Cancellation more than 24 hours before session: Full refund.
  • Cancellation within 24 hours of session: No refund.
  • Rescheduling: Permitted up to 12 hours before your session, subject to availability.

15. Private Session

A Private Session reserves the entire sauna and cold plunge for the exclusive use of your group for one 50-minute session. The flat rate is €150 (VAT included), regardless of group size. No other guests will be admitted during a Private Session.

16. Conduct

Guests are expected to treat the facilities and other guests with respect. The operator reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any guest whose behaviour is deemed unsafe or disruptive. No refunds will be issued in such circumstances.

17. Liability

To the extent permitted by Irish law, the operator's liability for any loss, damage, or injury arising from use of the facilities is excluded. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

18. Personal Belongings

Guests are responsible for the care and security of their personal belongings at all times. The operator accepts no responsibility for any lost, stolen, or damaged items, including clothing, jewellery, watches, glasses, footwear, or personal equipment.

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
